Mark Shalloway, president of West Palm Beach elder law firm Shalloway & Shalloway, is pleased to announce his attendance as a speaker at the Stetson Law School 2020 Fundamentals of Special Needs Trusts Administration Event. In light of our current public health crisis, this event took place in the form of a webinar on Friday, April 24. The speakers at this event discussed the many administrative issues trustees, attorneys, financial planners and others involved in Special Needs Trust administration regularly face.

The event was hosted by Rebecca Morgan, director of the Center for Excellence in Elder Law at Stetson College of Law established to meet the needs for legal education and research in the fields of law and aging. Mark Shalloway spoke along with other nationally renowned presenters from Law and Financial institutions. The event was great for attendees who wished to learn more about the SECURE Act, examining the use of Special Needs Trust and Planning, and much more.

Mark Shalloway has fought for the rights of elder and special needs cases from the beginning of his career. He is among one of the first certified Elder Law Attorneys in the nation to be certified by the National Elder Law Foundation, as well as the charter class of attorneys Board Certified in Elder Law by the Florida Bar.

Shalloway concentrates his practice on special needs trusts and planning and authors the Medicaid and Special Needs Trusts chapters of Planning for the Elderly in Florida published by LexisNexis. Much of what Shalloway does is in order to further the general public’s education on topics surrounding elder law and special needs law.
